Hi!

My textbook states: The remaining water is reabsorbed into the bloodstream from the colon, part of the large intestine. Some minerals and vitamins are also absorbed here.
Are minerals and vitamins absorbed in the colon or in other parts of the large intestine?

thanks!

Well yes, minerals and vitamins are usually absorbed in the small intestine. Water is absorbed in the large intestine, mainly.
