If you do not receive a bursary does your loan amount change?

I have applied to student finance and the amount of £3,821 has been approved given that I have applied for bursaries within the University I wish to study at (St Andrews). If I did not receive any bursaries/grants would this value increase? And if so would I have to then apply again for student finance?

For financial reference (my background etc...) I have no household income as I am a foster child so should be entitled to the maximum amount of loan, from my understanding anyway.

Thank you very much,
Aiden McCall
No. Your tuition fee and maintenance loan entitlement won't be affected by university grants/bursaries. If you have no household income why are you receiving such a small loan amount?

I am not too sure perhaps their definition of bursary is different to that of the uni. Should I try contacting them? Or reapplying?
