I am currently thinking about studying English Literature and Japanese at the University of Hertfordshire. Is there anyway I could combine these very different subjects together for my EPQ, or any great ideas for either one of them? Any ideas would be VERY helpful

Not English or Japanese student here, but couldn't you study the cultural differences in the texts of popular English and Japanese books, or for example, the difference between how WWII is taught to English and Japanese students (I think the Japanese textbooks are more sympathetic with the Japanese actions in WWII? they'd also focus on different things, e.g. loss of honour of the soldiers who surrendered, while the English textbooks focus on loss of innocent life)
