    Hey guys,

I'm about to switch out my iPad mini (first generation) with either the iPad Pro 9.7 inch or the iPad mini 4, but I'm unsure on which one to get?

For both models I'd get the Wifi only, with either 32gb for the Pro or 64 gb for the mini. I use my iPad on a daily basis to do the normal stuff, social media, surfing the web, playing some games and other mundane tasks. Nothing crazy with photo editing or anything like that.

There are naturally pros and cons with both iPads, but I'm not if I can justify my iPad usage to spend more money on the Pro rather than the mini. Likewise, spending the extra cash on the Pro may mean I can have my iPad for a couple of more years than I would with the mini?

    Any comments?

    Thanks!

iPad Pro's are aimed at "Pro" users lol, unless you're going to be using it in a professional capacity, whether that be photo editing (which you've already said no), presentations etc. it's not really suitable for what you want. iPad's aren't more expensive=better really, there are 3 models for 3 different types of user.

Get the mini, it's quality and will be updated for 3+ years like every Apple Product.

Yeah I suppose you have a point, that the more powerful iPad Pro is more useful for requiring apps and for photos and videos, while the iPad mini would be able to fulfill my requirements for an app and for a lower price.

You could also consider the iPad Air 2.
