Hey, does anyone else really hate clubbing? It's not something I've always hated, in fact I used to go clubbing often when I was 18/19. I even went to Magaluf twice with the lads (lol). But now I'm 21 and clubbing really doesn't appeal to me. I'd much rather go to a quiet bar where you can actually chat and have a laugh with your friends or a pub or even just catch up over a coffee or meal . Is anyone else like this? Unfortunately the rest of my friends do enjoy clubbing so I'm always out numbered and end up being dragged along anyway.

clubbing doesnt appeal to me (nor does going to pub / getting inebriated on drugs / alcohol). Ideally, id love to just hang with my friends in gym, cinema, restaurant, go hiking but most of my friends are either lazy sods or only go out if it means getting plastered / going clubbing :|

all my mates love clubbing, especially my boyfriend. I just want to curl up chatting with a good film, drinks of course, but clubs are obnoxious and filled with the kind of music I really don't like

I have always been a fan of seal clubbing, but it can get a little chilly.

I agree. I just dont understand why clubbing or 'partying' is seen as a recreational activity... I can understand having a party or drinking if you are celebrating something or if its a special social event but I dont understand why some people think randomly going to a club and drinking is fun. I also dont understand how people can drink alcohol every weekend, I only ever get tipsy on New YearsEve and thats enouh for me until the next New Years Eve comes along, alcohol tastes disgusting and is full of sugar. Its so annoying because my flatmates at uni always wanted to go out to drink, like every weekend and its such a drag because if you dont go, you will be left out of the social group very soon and if you do go, you end up wasting money on overpriced entry and drinks that you really dont wish to spend money on because you dont enjoy it....

I love it. If the music is great and you're in the mood it can be fantastic. Admittedly i don't go as much as i used to cos it can be expensive. Bars are cool if you want something more laid back.

I feel too old for it now really. I find that it is harder to get drunk in them as the bottles are small and expensive.

    I do and I don't.

I do because it's nice to finally experience the student lifestyle, seeing everyone enjoy themselves and being able to let off some steam. Sometimes you get to meet new people, often it's just a way to chill out with your friend. I don't because you can't really have a conversation, you can't really develop any meaningful connection with someone, it can be too loud/dark/smelly and depending on how much you've drank you can go home skint and feeling ill the next day.

I tend to go just to enjoy some time with friends. I went out last week with about fifteen people after a pre-drinks I organised, and it was perhaps one of the best nights I'd had; everyone had drunk enough to be able to let loose whilst also being well enough to enjoy themselves and not do anything stupid. It was great!

Of course it's **** unless you are above average attractiveness and good at dancing. The only appeal if not in this category is a certain primeval experience and some eye candy. Agree, stick to the pub.
