I had a great gues speaker (he had a doctorate) in my class the other day. He works at a world-reknown hospital. I actually also work at this hospital... but as a research volunteer. Anyways, his job is basically exactly what I plan to do in the future. I found his presentation so interesting and would like to express my interest in the topic to him and maybe ask some questions (via email). I am wondering how to do this without sounding like I am emailing to ask for work? If this makes sense.

    Thanks!

Just ask about his job quite simply.
