I've been on the same pill for 6 years. 21 day one with 7 day break. (Combined pill)
I had some issues with my repeat prescription being messed up at the pharmacy, so I got it a day late.

However, it's all a bit confusing because my boyfriend came up to visit me so I decided to skip my pill free break and take my pill back to back. On like day 23 of my pill free break, I was still taking the pills - but took one late whilst I waited for my prescription that day. A few days later I missed another one from being sick! (So threw it back up) and couldn't keep anything down so abandoned hope and took it later on that day.

Today I've started to get spotting - which I never do. And I'm wondering if this is a sign the pill hasn't worked, I was already supposed to be on my pill free break - so I'm confused as to wherever taking two late is really going to cause spotting. As anyone ever experienced this?? I'm so confused and a bit worried I may need to get some emergency contraception.

    Thanks in advance.

Sometimes you can get spotting when you take two pill packs back to back. Despite the late script/sickness did you still manage to take one each day (doesn't matter too much if they weren't at the same time on the combined pill from what I understand)? If so then you should still be protected.
