Hey, i am currently in year 9 and our school has started the GCSE process. i have chosen Sociology and ICT, which I really do regret but there is nothing I can do about it. I have to do the core subjects which I am doing okay in (particularly in English, my best subject) Maths I am average, will probably get a C and I have been chosen to do triple award science. Next week is assesment week, in which I have an exam in all three sciences. I don't know what to do and i am just really stressed out and my mum puts so much pressure on me. Dos year 9 really matter? Could anyone just give me some advice on what to do, thankyou!

    Hi there!

I'm in year 10 and I do remember this stage lol. I'd say that every year of school counts, some even more than others. Luckily your school doesn't decide what science award you shall do based on your marks on this exam I do the double science award.
I really believe that you should revise well for this exam as even though it isn't as important as the GCSEs, it is still, in my opinion important. I can understand how it feels when your parents pressure you to do well.. I suggest talking to your mother about how she is pressuring you and tell her you will try your best on this exam You have a week left so the best thing to do now is go over everything that will be in your exam and then do some past papers, etc. Stay calm, don't stress and believe in yourself. Work hard for what you want and you will be successful

Good luck and I really hope this helps. I'm here if you ever want to talk

I'm in year 10 and I do triple science. It's not as bad as some people try and make out. I completed all test with minimal revision if any. Year 9 isn't overly important but you should still do your best no one can ask more of you.
