I was talking with friends today about something/someone we know who is 32, a student, lives with parents, no partner or kids but has pet rats.

We were debating whether or not it was seen as weirder for a male or female to be like this? and why

    Female definitely.

There is much more stigma attached to a woman in this situation than a man.
