So I left my school after GCSEs but I got in touch with some of my old friends and we've been going out for drinks on a regular basis, and I have a drunken bromance going with one of them, but I'm starting to worry that it may become more than just that.
We're both in committed relationships with girls but whenever I'm with him he seems really down about his relationship and drops hints at me of wanting more, which I always took as jokes but am confused as to whether it is just a joke or not.
The other part is that if he did want more than just a drunk boyfriend I'm not sure how I would react. It's not the sort of question you can ask someone as it would cause awkwardness, unless we both say we want more than a friendship, yet I'm not sure whether I would and it would hurt both of our girlfriends.
I feel that it's just me overthinking and time will solve the problem but it's really starting to get me down.
Anybody been in a similar situation or have advice on how I can get around this situation without putting an end to our drunken relationship?

If you want to be more than friends then text him and if he responds negatively say you got a wrong number. If you don't want more than he's a big boy and he can sort out his own problems/feelings.

I'm not sure if I can pull off the wrong person plan but I guess you're right. We're going out on Saturday so may approach the topic when we're both drunk but I wouldn't want to ruin our friendship which I think would happen if I were to bring it up
