    ß strands (polypeptide chain) lying side by side, forming hydrogen bonds with each other. This occurs between different polypeptide chains (not the same one).

    I always thought however that a beta pleated sheet was made up of one polypeptide strand, not two.

    Isn't it made of one polypeptide chain?????????????
