Thoughts? Justified in that statement? Or uncalled for?

Dennis Skinner kicked out of Commons for 'Dodgy Dave' comment.

Unparliamentary so probably fair. Would have been simple for him to withdraw the remark and his point would have remained.

It was clearly quite an impassioned quip. It does resonate with the public opinion of Cameron fairly succinctly.

Dennis Skinner... now he's someone who wouldn't fit in with TSR Labour nearly as well as the Socialists.

Obviously it's a bit childish, but extremely entertaining all the same, not to mention accurate.

They should have done a Ukraine and brought in two bald, burly security men to drag his ass out the first time he refused to withdraw

I am glad he didn't withdraw the statement, as well that the dismissal procedure was followed (by the way, did Cameron ever call Corbyn a terrorist sympathiser in open play? Are some members more equal than others in this regard?)

However the formidable Mr Skinner missed a trick. When Bercow said DC would only have to answer if the comment was retracted, the Beast should have said, "What's the point, he won't answer it anyway," before going on to repeat his insult.

It is the closest the British Parliament will come to overturning the government. Unfortunately we are more craven and servile than the Icelanders, both those in the Althing and on Austurvöllur.

Also I just love Bercow's sass

The problem is, the Commons don't know how to deal with bluntness.

It's all euphemistic language, skirting around the real point that needs to be addressed. The public have had enough, and so has Skinner clearly.

Whether it is reflective of the opinions of the misinformed or not, it is against the rules of the house, and has been for centuries, to question the honour of an honourable or right honourable member of the house without evidence to substantiate the claim, and I think even then you are restricted as to how you can challenge the honour of a member.

Oh? And where is the informed opinion on Cameron meant to lie? I am keen for you to explain further.

With all those people saying "you do realise he didn't engage in tax avoidance, right?"

Well, he did, but not in any morally questionable way, and not with the fund that everyone's talking about.

'Dodgy Dave' has many applicable contexts.

Certainly, the nickname would reflect the public's opinion of Cameron as a liar and a cheat.

Done detailed polling for that, or have you just been reading the guardian and looking at Twitter?

Have you? Or too busy reading the daily mail and intermitently burying your head in the sand?
