My friend has just been dumped by his girlfriend of 6 years..... BY TEXT!! She experienced a death in her family around 2 weeks ago which is why my friend thinks she has taken the step to leave him. She said in the ext that she has stopped loving him since a year ago which was quite evident in the way she was treating him.

He is in a bad way and he is a good friend of mine and I do not know how to support him. Any suggestions?.

Try comfort him and say to him that he can either move on quick as it helps clear the mind or give him time to 'heal'. I don't really know these things but good luck

Do not pity **** him but if you really want to help replace her, do things with, allow him to confide in you and spend those evenings together. It definitely hurts more of a night when nothing is on and you dont really have anyone there, just to have a real conversation with

This is really sweet. Just call/text to check in if he doesn't call or anything himself. You sound like a lovely caring friend.

Just keep in contact with him and make him aware that you're there for support.

He should view this as an opportunity to change his life and reinvent himself

Relationships can often be a burden

Sounds like a good thing if she stopped loving him that long ago. Just hang out with him and do something fun to take his mind off it, but if he tries to bring it up just remind him that he should be relieved.
