...and the next morning, you come back!

Generally you will possibly take some bbq food and alcohol with you, and when you get there you can sit around a small fire and just be merry.

£40 to £45 per punt (up to 6ppl) for students from Scudamores

I don't know anywhere else that hires overnight.

I'm fairly sure that most college punts won't be allowed out overnight. The Queens' ones are only available until 11pm. Scudamores is pretty extortionate, I think, considering that the demand compared to availability is practically zero and you pay a deposit too.

Trinity let you take punts out overnight, at the wonderfully reasonable rate of £6 for the evening, as I recall.

I tried to get a punt out at 11:10pm last night (King's) and wasn't allowed. Apparently you can't take on out past 11pm, but not sure when you have to actually bring it back.

Out of interest, where is all the punt-paraphenalia for the King's punts kept? I can't remember there being any candidate sheddy looking buildings nearby.

Bodley's Court by the river (that little private area with accomodation, a bench and a couple of massive big trees).

Some colleges, and particularly the MCRs, do allow punts out after dark. Maybe befriend grad students and borrow MCR punts...
