Best way to evaluate - AS Business Studies

Hi, last minute thought here:

What do you think is the best/most effective way of evaluating for the 15 mark questions of Business AS for AQA (although I expect this is similar for all boards).

One of my teachers said to come to a conclusion regarding your personal opinion is the best, but the other said that you shouldn't do this and instead say "the effectiveness of this, however, will depend on" and list some reasons.

Thoughts?

I do Edexel so it may differ but I dont think it will. What I do is try to define the subject in question. Then state and give reasons for the pros and then the cons. Then I write one line about the decision I think is best based on the above.

I'm doing AQA business studies tomorrow, what i try to do for evaluation is say it depends on... and give a justified opinion. For example for the question 'evaluate the advantages and disadvatages to Smile Magazines ltd of employing a JIT system in the factory' i would conclude with something like... the sucess of JIT depends on the reliability of the suppliers and the relationship that SM establish with them because if deliveries are late then it may lead to the lead time to the retaliers increasing, which could cause bad relations between SM and the retailers. Local transport links and infrastructure is important aswell to ensure that JIT can be employed.
something like that, i think would get the evaluation marks.

you have to use them sort of words as you are EVALUATING,..in other words looking at both sides of the argument and contradicting one with the other before you set a conclusion

Q3. To what extent were the leadership styles of Leah and Jeremy appropriate for Smile Ltd. {15}

Q4. Explain 2 possible probelms to Smile of introducing a system og quality assurance {6}

Q5. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages to Smile Ltd of using Kaizen groups {15}
