I was disappointed after I was rejected for Mathematics at Bristol, but they then gave me the offer of engineering mathematics. Looking at the content of the course, it seems ideal for me. It seems a lot less dry and formal than pure mathematics, and it looks to be a good entry point for employment in fields like computing, design engineering etc which always seem in high demand. It also incorporates more creativity since you'd be applying mathematics to real world problems.
I think it's a relatively new course, but could anyone tell me what they think of it?
What are the downsides?
