    Hey,

Last year in OCR A unit 1 there was a question asking to find the empirical formula and I end up with 2 whole numbers and one in decimal !
So my question is what to do after that should I round the decimal number to the nearest whole number ? or there is another method ?

Last year question was : Determine the empirical formula of the compound. Show your working out.

    O 30.7% S 15.4% Tm 53.9%

    Thank you ^^

If the number in the ratio isn't close to a whole number (e.g. 1.5 in this example) you would multiply everything by 2 to make it whole.
