So we've been set the task to pick a question for coursework to be completed next year, and I've decided I want to do something on Charlemagne/the Carolingian Empire, but I'm not sure what question. It's meant to be on the lines of "To what extent..." "How far did..." or ".... How valid is this view". Can anyone help? Also if you have any reading recommendations related to the Carolingians it'll be much appreciated.

Id suggest you do some reading and get a feel for your subject first before deciding on a question. What may seem good ones to start with cna end up being rubbish and reading cna often give you ideas.

I know the subject pretty well for someone who's never been taught it, imo. I'm just stumped on thinking of a question I could do that I wouldn't get bored of :/
