Lad, it takes a different amount of time for people to 'get over' another. So don't worry about that.

Regarding not going to places, don't worry about it. Just ignore her - easier said than done - but take it a step at a time.

You sound just like me, over a year ago I broke up with someone, we were together for 1 year. I don't even know why I did it really, and after I kinda regretted it. We tried to be friend but it just didn't work, and he ended up blocking me out of my life. Late last year we at the same party and got talking again. Anyway, cut a long story short, I started thinking that I still liked him. I haven't had another relationship since, and started to miss him. Anyway, I kinda hinted this to him... and blah blah, he said he still wanted to be friends, but it was just too hard for me.
In answer to your question, yeah, it took me a bloody long time to get over him fully. But now I do realise I didn't really miss him, I just missed having a relationship, like any relationship.
Just out of interest, why won't you contact her? Maybe if you did speak to her, she might have changed, as have you etc... and you'll realise you don't actually like her?
Sorry for my waffling! I talk faaaar too much.
Hope that was of some (crazy) help
