# Nth Terms watch

1. Hey.

If I have the question to find the Nth term of a sequence

3, 6, 12, 24, 48.....

How do I do it?

I've tried to work it out for ages and know it's something to do with the second or third difference of the terms etc but I'm not sure how to do it.

Thanks very much.

Is this GCSE? This sequence is a geometric sequence and I don't think you do that at GSCE.

Anyway you can re-write this sequence as: 3(1,2,4,8,16,...).

Do you notice a pattern between the numbers in the bracket?
