Things awkward with mate

Had a bit of a to-do with a mate on MSN the other day, hadn't spoken to her since, she's now talking to me online but it seems a bit stilted...should I just ignore it and try to chat as normal or ask her if we're ok? Just worried it could make things more awkward if I actually ask her if things are alright between us :s

Be direct and ask her if everything is okay. If you do not sort it out then your friendship may collapse like a wet cardboard box.
id ditto the above, no harm in asking...

if shes ok with you she'd surely just go "dont be daft, why would there be" anyway

Right, I've asked her, and it's annoyed me a bit because I had to be the conciliatory and soppy-sounding apologetic one when I wasn't the one in the wrong in the first place...she says everything's fine but it blatantly isn't, I can just tell the way she's talking to me, and now it feels like I've made it more awkward by asking. Argh!

Hahahaha! Mate, that's just what it's like being with a woman  I would know

You're usually expected to KNOW why you're wrong, what you've done wrong and exactly what you need to do to fix this  Ask her what she wants gently and let her know that it's not because you don't care, but you simply don't understand. Usually girl takes - mistake = you OBVIOUSLY doesn't care about her

Good luck  and whatever you do, don't ignore her - talk to her.

^ Thanks lol...but argh...I'm a girl, and I'm not annoying like that! I just don't get what her problem is...I explained that I hope she didn't take what was said the other day the wrong way, she said it's all fine but then why continue being off with me? Either be fine with me or don't talk to me at all, woman! Put me in even more of a bad mood, I feel like crap :frown:

Don't be - just give it time. It should normally fix itself.
just carry on as normal and things will take their course. if you keep feeling like it's awkward then take some initiative and start talking with her. you may just need some cooling off time though
