Hey guys! I am a happy CS offer holder and I am torn between Mayflower and Wessex lane halls. I am thinking about applying for en-suite room but I cant decide which halls to put as my first choice. Would you please give me the pros and cons although they might be biased. Thanks a lot!

Ah same!! My first choice is Wessex Lane En Suite cause everyone says its really good to socialise with people, I was going to choose Mayflower but it is a bit further from my course.

I am a student at Wessex now, and my advice would be if you want a nicer en-suite I'd pick Mayflower. Many of my course mates in Wessex have en-suites that are more like wet-rooms rather than proper bathrooms. For a little bit extra, I'd definitely would recommend Mayflower. If I'm not mistaken, I don't think they're is a huge price difference, it's far better to stretch the little extra for a proper bathroom. Also, it goes without saying that Wessex is far far more dated than Mayflower, and some of the en-suite rooms in my opinion need a little TLC. Hope that helps!

PS. I'm in the cheapest non-ensuite room at Wessex now, (I think it's the oldest block) and my room is a lot better in my opinion compared to my friends in en-suite newer rooms. Plus my rent is far less, and sharing a bathroom really isn't too bad at all!

When you apply for mayflower, how likely are you to get the room type you want? Since there will be loads of people applying.
