    Hello everyone!
I'm new here and I need some help regarding London South Bank University, specially the Havering Campus. I've got an offer from them last week and now I'm confused as I also have an offer from University of Hertfordshire. I would like to know about some student's experience at the Havering Campus (course work, support from teachers, feedback and clinical placement). I live closer to Hertfordshire but the teachers told me that the Havering Campus is good if you need support from the teachers as is a smaller campus. Thank you in advance

    Dear Gemma,

Well done on getting both offers.

I am a teacher in the nursing department and whilst I can't give a students perspective I can share with you my thoughts.

The uni of Hertfordshire is a very good university and from the students and staff I have met there have all had good things to say about it. Therefore if you choose them you will have a good university experience.

As for us and our havering campus. I am assuming that you had your interview there. If that's the case you have seen the building and where it is placed. It is a small campus and we only teach adult and MH students there. However it is self contained. It has it's own library and canteen and the staff have their offices there.
The admin team are also there and because it is a smaller site students have said try find it very friendly and that the staff are very supportive.

When I joined LSBU I thought that students would prefer our Southwark campus as it is more lively and there is more going on, however the students have told me that they prefer Havering because they find it a friendlier and supportive site.

    I hope that helps
