Do not press the button

When I was in Manchester a few weeks ago I walked by a smallish red button on the side of a building which had a sign next to it saying not to push it. I was just wondering if any of you know what actually happens when you do push it? I don't exactly remember the location of it since I don't really know my way around Manchester but I think it was near the 3/4storey building that has lots of smaller punky/emo/gothy/really different shops and a cafe on the top floor inside it.

It's Affleck's Palace but I am not sure what the button does, if anything. However, knowing the name will probably make it easier for you to find :wink:

I have no idea, but it could just be street art.
I've seen light switches and plug sockets glued to outside walls before, very amusing :tongue:

I posted in some other forums and apparently it used to squirt out some water from a flower on the portrait of a man next to it but it hasn't worked in ages.

Thanks anyways. Also, could you give me some rough directions from the train station to Affleck's Palace? I'm going down in a few days and I wanted one of the belt buckles from there but I didnt have money last time, I do now.

hehe, i know that button! on the side of afflecks palace...it does nothing...my ex pushed it when i was with him...nothing happened...we were rather disappointed really!

Aye, me and a mate were passing by there and saw the button, but we were both too chicken to press it.

I think that making our own versions dotted around towns and cities is a great idea, so much that I'm going to make a few myself...
