I have no idea what i want to do after a levels, but my dad has got me an opportunity to do work experience at a really big record company this summer. I am trying to write a letter/application now, but I'm stuck on what to write. Unlike most people who write about how passionate they are and how its what they definitely want to do as a career, i literally have no idea. I don't want to lie and say music is the career i want to pursue when it probably isn't, not that i don't love music. Of course you should only do something you love, but what if you don't know what you love yet? Do you have to do work experience in a field you're interested in?
Also, how do i write about how I'm keeping my options open/just want experience? Or should i leave that out? I really dont know what to include.

Put your best foot forward, even if you don't think its what you want to do just pretend to be enthusiastic (everybody else will.) When it comes to experience try to relate anything you have done to either general skills or ones specific to the placement. For example instead of "I enjoy writing" say "I've been improving my writing for a long time which I believe will make me useful in any media or online relations department". Basically put a positive spin on anything, if you give me any work experience/hobbies you have I could give you some ideas.
