So recently I have decided that i'd really like to be a PE teacher at secondary school level. Only there is one major problem, I didnt take gcse PE. I have always wanted to be a teacher ever since I was young so that aspect hasn''t changed I just never knew what I wanted to teach. I took very academic subjects because my parents wanted me to have a heavier academic based timetable and it gave me a wider opportunity for careers. Is there any way I can be a PE teacher??? I have taken Triple Science, History, Geography and Catering. And I want to study Biology in more depth.

I can't speak to the routes to take, not really my area (science), but I've come across tons of PE PGCE students in placements so far.
I get the impression the hardest thing is finding a job, ie the competition! I was told by a few that they were having to seek jobs nationally as competition and lack of posts is such an issue.
In my current school they were discussing recruitment for some posts during an all staff meeting earlier this year... The PE job had around 60 applicants, a science and English post got 1 and 2, respectively..

Don't. It is far too competitive. Every man and his dog is a PE teacher. Do one of your subjects and do a sports club.
