I got mine done at the chemist, but only because I needed to renew my passport so I needed to get some done anyway. But I have seen people on here saying that they took one themselves on a plain background and resized it, so I guess you could do that too.
yeh i did that (took my own!) but you need to send 4 off to the accomodation people when you get your offer so you might as well get them done.

I don't see why not... just make sure it follows the passport guidelines (e.g. neutral expression, no hat, plain background, etc)

Any photo will do, mine certainly didnt have a neutral expression or plain background. Just make sure you can see your face.

Oh yeah! I had to get 4 more done because of that since I already sent two of the ones I took for the Uni. Card to the passport people lol:s-smilie:

Ok, so I just got my picture taken. Didn't bother with it before. BUT it's larger than it was supposed to be and I've no idea how to resize it :p: I told the photographer to make it a square, which of course he didn't. And instead of 420 x 420 pixels, mine is 1536x2304 pixels and 495 KB... What do I do?

open the picture in Ms Paint and press CTL E together. The Attributes window will open and tick the pixel box and enter the dimensions in the Width and Height Box. and that should do it

Don't resize it in Paint! Use a proper image-editing program, unless you want it looking horrible and distorted.

Also the "Attributes" method won't resize the picture, it will crop it to the top-left hand corner.

Yea, any photo will do, unless they change it for the 2007 year, some of the photos I have seen on some cards this year were hilarious, and nothing like a passport photo.

Example of this, courtesy of Facebook:

noo it dint crop mine, thats only if you edit the dimensions, if you edit the pixels its fine. i uploaded mine and it worked
