Possessive/Dominating partner??

Basically ive started seeing this guy.He seems sweet and everything..but i'm wondering if he has a dominating character? Im 21 and of Indian origin..and the guy is 26 of Indian origin.
When we first met up...he was quite judgemental towards me...saying stuff like 'oh i bet you spend hours straightening your hair'...or 'do you ever go out clubbing just to attract attention from men'.
He even said 'Don't your parents want you to get married?'
I mean he seemed sweet and funny.but looking back at the some of the things he was saying, it shocked me alot.
I mean the fact that he brought up marriage like isn't that pushing it abit far???
As he he is five years older than me he also said how 'You've got lot of growing up to do'.
He calls me everyday after work non-stop aswell.
To be honest im not sure if he was winding me up or if he genuinely meant these things. I obviously playfully had a go at him. I mean apart from that our date went fine, those were just a few things that stuck in my head.
Butl i mean is he just overly possessive and dominating and should i stay away from him???
