An engineering compnay came in to my sixth form to give a talk, and at the end the person hosting this talk gave out an email and said that if anyone wanted WE they can send an email.

I'm confused at what to write in the email? How formal and how long does it have to be? And what do I include in the email? I'm in year 12 btw.

    Help is appreciated XO

Hi, I've done this but with a law firm I wrote the letter saying how interested I was by the talk and was wondering about taking them up on the WE offer. I briefly outlined why I wanted to do law and what I could give back to them. I also attached a copy of my CV
    hope that's of some use?

Hard to say without knowing the contxt of the talk, but what eleanor said is a good way to go about making the most of it. Doesnt have to be formal. Decide what you want first. If its work experience, then just write and be plite, ask him a few questions about his job or the firm or just go straight into asking for the chance to do work exp. Tell them why you chose them or what interests you plus have your cv as well.
