# Maths: Simulataneous equations watch

Announcements
1. Solve
2x + 3y = 2/3
3x - 4y = 18
2. make both X's the same by multiplying em

6x + 9y = 2
6x - 8y = 36

minus them from each other
9 - - 8 = 17y
2 - 36 = 34

divide both sides by 17 to get 7
17y = -34
y = -2

then substitute -2 into one of the equations to get x

6x + 9(-2) = 2
6x - 18 = 2
6x = 20
x = 10/3
