I have one month left in my private housing lease and as I was taking down a poster (used those hooks that claim to peel off cleanly) it ripped a bit of paint off. I had to pay a huge deposit to secure this property and my landlord hates students and basically ignored me for the whole tenancy and now I KNOW he is going to try and take all of my deposit. What to do ?

Buy the same colour paint and paint over the part that peeled off?

They normally have a clause which says no blu tack.

Just do what tsrsarah said and paint over it. It needs to be a good match, but if you go to B&Q or Wilko, then you might find they sell the small tester pots, where you only have to buy a small amount of paint. he's not allowed to take your whole deposit and it should be in a scheme anyway.

Get your roommates, tie him up, dip his head in paint, paint over it, leave him to dry then peel him off the wall and get your money back.
