I NEED ANSWERS! What is the answer to the GCSE AQA Geography Shield volcano question?

The question asked if you can describe the features and formation of Shield Volcanoes. I said about the gentle slopes, the constructive boundary, rising of magma over the denser mantle, the formation of oceanic crust, wider vent so it is less likely to be plugged meaning these volcanoes are less powerful and more frequent. I also mentioned how destructive boundaries send the magma up with greater force meaning it is more likely to produce larger, taller volcanoes, therefore it is less likely that Shield volcaneos are formed at destructive.

I DIDN'T MENTION THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF LAVA AND THE VISCOUSITY!

Can i still get 5-6 marks for that question? After all, it was a levelled question and not based on the number of points.

Thanks.

I think the viscousity was kind of important to write about. I mean you've explained just about everything else apart from how they are actually formed in that shape, because the lava has a low silica content so it flows without cooling for longer.

If all your answers were that detailed i'm sure you did fine...1 or 2 marks isnt going to make much of a difference
be positive!
