My parents are extremely preferential to my sister, which is becoming more and more evident over time, leaving me depressed and with anxiety problems. I am always avoided and frowned upon. My sister on the other hand is spoiled gets everything she wants whilst not doing anything to earn it - expensive clothes etc. I however tend to be blamed for things that go wrong, have to work, and effectively get told "no" all the time.Anyone in the same position have any advice? As time goes on I am getting more detached from my own family.

I think the solution to most situations like this is to talk; have a full conversation and express how you feel with your parents... There isn't much else that can be suggested, parents shouldn't really be showing preferences between their kids at all, forget with no reason
