My lack of social life is quite simply dumb. I talk to a few classmates who I don't really like, I just pretend to so that we all get along. I know nobody else on campus and add social anxiety on top of that and you have me, a total mess. I thought college was meant to be where you meet people and party and have a good time. But so far in this 8 months of a 2 year course, none of that has happened.

I spend my weekends either doing college work or watching YouTube videos, nobody ever messages me to hang out or do things. I feel completely excluded from everything going on and I've had enough

What sort of things do you like to do? Maybe there are some societies/clubs you could join to meet people who have the same interests as you. Even learning a new skill would be good for you, you'd meet new people and through them meet more new people etc. Also, you could always try messaging people to hang out, the worst that can happen is that they are busy.

I dont think it happens by magic, you can either be a natural at socialising or have to work at it. You arent going to make friends if you dont get involved and meet people. As per above find some societies you can join in or get to know a few people and suggest doing a few things. Once you have a few friends, then you can build on their networks. there are probably others for who would like a better social life, so why not organise something, even if its just a trip down the pub or a day out? Its hard to make friends with someone who is in their room. You cna turn it around though, so dont be glum, just do soemthing about it and be patient.
