Hi. I just have a couple questions, if someone could help answer for me please.

If I were to apply for student finance now, would i be able to cancel it later on, say August, if I wanted to?

Also, if I were to apply for student finance and defer my entry, will I have to reapply for student finance again? What would happen if I deferred my entry? Would my student finance account be put on hold until i start the next year? Would it get cancelled? Would I need to reapply?

I'm unsure whether I want to take out the loan or to work and pay for it.

Thank you.

It's easy to cancel. The SLC won't pay a penny until your university confirms your physical presence at university. If you don't show up at your course the finance is cancelled automatically.

You will need to reapply again next year (and when you start your course you have to reapply every year).
