1.30 It's meant to be roughly the same time everywhere

Reply 2

In theory yes, however in practise not really well not exactly the same time but at around about the same time (for obvious reasons).

my morning exams start at 9 and afternoon 1...i only did one psychology paper the other week but because some people were doing 3 i had to stay 45 minutes later as a security to the rest or summet annoying very!

Nope, someone on here started their paper at 1pm and i started mine at 1:30pm. I think the exam boards probably set a time which it has to start in (so there is no way someone could come out and tell someone else what was on it), but its up to the school what time they want to arrange it for, probably to do with when lessons are on.

I know 1:30pm is beginning of a lesson, which means other students wont be at lunch or anything making noise. :smile:

my building which i take exams isn't conected to the other part of college and on the other side so we can't hear anything its a massive gym hall...yeh mine always seem to start at 1pm but they will never let anybody leave till at least 2.30pm

There is some exam regulation by which the exams have to start within a certain time of eachother, which is why if your exam is shorter than an hour you have to stay to make it up to an hour so that you cant contact anyone in another centre before their exam begins.

Although i believe there has been a case of cheating to a difference in time zone.

Yeah I think Ed-excel has the same exams running internationally, or something to that extent...

But nationally we only vary by a little bit! Our college makes us sit the entire length of the exam. It can be annoying, especially when you're doing C3 for the first time and just know you've failed and need to get out that room and you know you can't leave! Frustration!!!

Our morning exams start at 9
And afternoon exams at 1.
Well supposedly.
They never start on time.
And you always start at something like 9:07 or something.

We're only ever made to stay the duration of our exam time.
For example say one lot of people have a 1 hour 30 exam.
And others have a 2 hour exam.
After the hour and a half.
The first groups papers are collected and they can leave.
But in silence as is always said.
Whilst the others finish their exam.

Here morning exams are 8:30 theoretically but always ends up being about 8:50.

Afternoon exams are theoretically 1:00 but ends up being 1:30. :p:

Morning exams 9.00. Afternoon exams 1.15.

Reply 14

Morning exams 9, afternoon exams 1.30, which was stupid because then we got disturbed by the bell for first lesson at 9.10, all the kids outside for lunch from 1 and the bell for last lesson at 1.45.

Reply 15

Morning exams 9, afternoon exams 1.30. Although I had history today and both papers were handed out late so I didn't end up finishing my exam until 5!!

Reply 16

My morning exams start at 9:00, my afternoon ones start at 13:20, plus or minus 5 minutes either side for both start times.

Reply 17

Morning exams: 9.15 (but we always start 20 minutes later anyway) and afternoon exams 13.30...

Reply 18

Morning = 9.00
Afternoon = 13.30

Usually they begin fairly promptly.
