So today, Mrs. Sheldon Cooper added me and it made me think about the rationale behind adding a TSR user. I know that in Twitter and Facebook, following someone allows you to get updates about the person's tweets as they sent to your timeline. But what's the rationale behind doing in TSR? I am curious.

I have never initiated a follow.

The actual function of follows is that you can see the latest posts of people you are following.

I do it to encourage people whose posts I enjoy to post more

It's what started me off so why not do the same to others?

I follow people I find interesting and follow back those who follow me. I like to see what the people I follow have posted in.

I follow people purely because I see what their latest posts have been on, and that sometimes brings me to threads I'd never usually look at!

To show that you're interested in what they get up to (it's essentially the same as Twitter and Facebook).

But I don't do it myself (I just follow back)
