so theres this guy(joe)
we've been together for 2 months now but there were alot of bumps in our r'ship so it was on and off..the problem is i told him before that i liked some one before him.the guy(stefan) comes to our college and i liked him a fair bit.Joe asked me yesterday why i liked stefan and i said it was because we used to talk alot and i felt sumthing.bt i also told him that i found out he liked me bak which im not sure about.Joe now feels that stefan may be in the way of me and him having something.he wants to know if stefan still likes me which i know he doesnt because he has a gfrend etc.but he still insists on finding out.I told joe that stefan was a rebound from another guy and now he thinks that hes a rebound from stefan which i know he isnt

he fails to believe me and thinks i still have feelings for stefan which i kno i dnt have..its soo AGH...why cnt joe just leave stefan and my past alone..i dnt get it..i relly dont..

i hate all this buisness with stefan

erm. ok after reading that 3 times :p:

relationships are built on trust and belief. you need to tell joe that you no longer feel for the other guy and he was in no way a rebound.
if he doesnt belive you perhaps you should consider how much he trusts you

i would say follow your heart tbh, any relationship your in where u are worrying what a third party makes of it all will not work.

Bottom line, do what you want to do!

It sounds like he doesn't trust you at all, and if theres no trust thres no relationship. You need to explain to him that by not trusting you he is driving you further and further away from him. He needs to get over this whole Stefan business, in a relationship or not there will always be somebody else who likes you or your partner and you both have to accept that and understand that you don't want anybody else, only each other.
Your guy needs to realise this before its too late.

Was Stefan just a rebound from anther guy? If he was then you were not honest and that's probably why he is wondering where he stands with you. If he was a rebound and Joe is freaking out then just have a chat and see where you go from there.

Very true, you need trust and honesty in a relationship and if he can't trust you then your relationship will not be going much further.

thnx..sorry for the complicated post..my minds evrywhere.lol..ye its just like i dnt know why he feels that way...joe was no way a rebound from stefan..AT ALL..bt he doesnt understand it at all..i told him that i feel nothing for stefan nothing at all..he doesnt see it??! i dnt know why? hes such a good guy but his jealous tendencies drive me away from him..i jus wish he'd understand

haha i got that first time but thought the names we weird did u invent them for the purpose fo anonymity anyway like everyonesaid its all about trust, but to be fair from everything u described about rebound guys its quite easy to see why he's reached the conclusions he had. Surely it woulnd't hurt to ask stefan and get it out the way if he has a new gf its just as behind you as it is him, it wil probs make ur bf feel pretty stupid for being so worried over nothing, then lesson learned for ur future happiness :p:

basciallly im goin out with a guy who is concerned that i may still have feelings for a previous love interest..he thinks that he himself is just a rebound from me liking the other guy wen he totally is not...its relly upsetting me how hes being so cold towards me when i feel for him so much and he doesnt see it
