    Hi

My car was stolen from my road whilst I left it parked up on my road while I was on holiday.

I have called my insurance and am the process of making a claim. They have asked me to send the licence for myself and anyone named on the policy in order for them to be able to validate the licence.

I am the main driver and my on/off boyfriend is named as an additional driver, however we are currently not together and he is refusing to provide his details.

Im worried this will affect my claim does anyone know

Ive read so many horror stories about insurance companies refusing to pay out.

    Thanks

Not sure why they need you to send your licence in in order to validate it - the whole point of the new system is that this can be checked online. It shouldn't matter that you are not currently with your boyfriend, you can insure whoever you like on your insurance, friend, boyfriend, enemy etc and it doesn't matter. It should be irrelevant to the claim. You will probably have given his licence number when you got the policy, so they should have that, and I expect you might know his DOB and address - what more could they need. Call them up and explain - good luck, don't stress.
