    Hi Guys!
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to go about changing university after my engineering foundation year through clearing. I am unhappy at my current university, mainly due to not getting halls and the standard of teaching and I was hoping that I could start my first year studies somewhere else and have a fresh start. Obviously the UCAS deadline has now passed so I will have to apply through clearing. I have been getting good marks, 80% plus in all but one module.

    Thank You!

Although universities can't tell you if they have places now, it would be a good idea to do your research now and find out where might accept your foundation year as it varies between universities. Bare in mind that getting a place through clearing could mean accomdation being full.

Although the deadline has passed you should still apply as usual. Your application will be considered late but if you don't get any offers you'll be placed into clearing when it opens in July.

To apply through clearing or elsewhere you will need to provide your full academic history and have a reference - ideally from someone at your current university.
