Best Reading Uni halls?

I've been looking at different halls as the applications are now available to conditional offer holders and im still a bit confused. I've looked at the little profiles on the website and everything but was honestly wondering which is the best in terms of social life? Not bothered about cost/self catered or not/ensuite, all i'd like is a fairly nice room so not too dingy and a washbasin! Basically wanting the party capital of the campus haha, was thinking Wantage as it looked nice but again, confused now! If anyone could shed some light after their experiences that would be great!
Hi,

So if I've got it right, what you want a washbasin room, with a good social life?

Yeah Wantage has both of those, but is off campus, so tends to be quite social within Wantage.

What is often said to be the most social hall on campus is Windsor, they also offer wash basin rooms. The rooms are little old fashioned but not too bad. But they are right next to Park Bar, so very social and because they are catered they don't have to worry about budgeting for food because its all sorted in advance, so must people spend their money on socialising.

I would say those two are probably your best bet if you want a washbasin room, with good social life. But most of our halls have a good social life as we have our JCR's which are students that lived in the halls the year before and they organise lots of social events throughout the year, they often organise things such as social, formals, boat parties, christmas dinners, BBQs and quizzes.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask me any other questions.
