I'm thinking of applying to camp America for 2017 but I am a bit worried as I am not specialised in anything that they would need specialised counsellors in so I'm wondering if this will make it harder for me to find a placement? also anyone who's willing to chat about their experience or just anything in general?

I did worked at a camp though Camp America in 2010. I didn't have any specialised skill, per se, but was employed as an Arts & Crafts Counsellor for the summer. They do have placements for general counsellors too, depending on the type/size of camp.

It's quite competitive to get a placement at Camp, but you can apply online and attend the recruitment fairs (where I got a placement). DM me if you want to chat about it further!
Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
