Prepare for maths olympiad

I'm in year 9, and am trying to prepare for the Olympiads such as bmo1, bmo2 etc. currently, I am getting the number theory and geometry questions out quite often, and I'm wondering how to improve my approach at combinatorics, I am very weak at finding were to start but can follow the solutions...? Also, are there any long term sort of suggestions as to how to prepare for bmo1/2/IMO over the next few years? My ideal sort of aim is to do IMO in year 13, and am just looking for general advice on how to get there, it seems a long way to bmo2 from bmo1, and even further to IMO, how do I get there? (I do have the books from ukmt, Olympiad primer, intro to number theory, plane Euclidean geometry, and I have finished number theory one, but the geometry is much harder in my opinion. also, I know about the intermediate Olympiads, I just did cayley, got 54/60) I know its a high target, I am willing to put a lot of time into it...
