    In regards to the Iodine clock reaction,

    Step 1) 6I- + BrO3- + 6H+ -> 3I2 + Br- + 3H2O
    then
    Step 2) 2S2O32- + I2 -> 2I- +2S4O62-
    rate = k[I-][BrO3][H+]2

    What would the mechanism be for step 1? For example, when determining the rate determining step, you'd be given either 2 or 3 steps to an overall equation, and asked which of the 2 or 3 is the RDS. If you had to formulate those 2 or 3 equations, what would they be?
