Currently applying for the SCITT scheme and have gotten to the personal statement scheme and I'm struggling. I've got little to no experience in teaching (except volunteering at a local girl guiding group) which I suppose is the closest to teaching and working with children and I was wondering if anyone has any advice please?

Look at the links in my signature below - in the 'subject specific guidance' section there is an article on teaching PSs

Have you thought about arranging some school experience so you can talk about this in your personal statement? You may well be expected to draw on school experience at interview also.
