I am currently getting a student finance loan for my PGCE, however I'd like to do another masters in drug discovery and pharmacology. Would I be able to get funding or not if I already have a higher qualification?

Hopefully the SFE reps will have more detail on this when they join us on the 25 April.

At present the information points towards funding only being withheld from people with equivalent or higher qualifications (so if you already had a MSc or a PhD) and not exclusions for people with PGCerts/PGDips/PGCEs

    Hi

A PGCE is classed as a lower level qualification than a Master’s course, like anMSc or MA. This means you’ll be able to get a Postgraduate Loan for your Master’s course.
