Whats the likelyhood of uni's accepting people when they;ve offered them say 280 and they only get 260 or 240??

Are msot uni's strict..or do some take you anyway?

depends on the national average results wise (if results are down, you should be OK, but if they're up it's more unlikely) and if they have any places come clearing....

It also depends on how strong your application was in the first place. Uni's hold more offers than they have places though to cover themselves if some people don't get the grades, so if you do really badly they won't let you in. But if you're only getting 20 points less than your normal offer you should be okay - just phone up the admissions department on the day and find out.

I suppose it depends how popular your course is. If they still have places free in August, they will probably be more flexable with the entry requirements.
