Do any of you feel that most of your stress comes from your parents rather than your actual GCSEs? I mean we all get pressured by our parents to do well, but do you get stressed out to the point you're only working hard to please your parents not for your future?

My parents want the best for me, but they don't push me so hard that I get stressed. My mum is the one that forces me to take revision breaks and brings me food whilst I revise.

Although I know my parents would love it if I got amazing grades, they aren't putting pressure on me. It's more a case of me putting pressure on myself to achieve the grades tbh due to my own expectations.

My parents put very little pressure on me. They don't force me to revise, but if I'm not revising, they'll say they think I should be doing revision and recommend it, and offer to help create study plans, get tutoring etc. They say as long as I'm happy and I do my absolute, genuine best they wouldn't care if I got all Ds (although of course they wouldn't want me to get Ds!)
Although my dad is really in no place to nag me since he ripped up his exam papers in the exam hall, threw the paper everywhere and put his feet up on the desk ;-) -

Nah, my parents persuade me to revise less because I'm just driven to revise 24/7 & she brings me cups of tea as I revise
I think it works better because all my pressure/stress comes from myself, which means I revise better, and then have motivation from my parents so ultimately do better, I don't think they've told me to go and revise once because they know I want to do well for myself so much so I can put boundaries on when I am and when I'm not revising, I don't agree with parents who pressure/stress their children to revise tbh unless their child is literally doing nothing -
