I have already did an a level in english literature and psychology which i got D overall in both. I also did an EPQ on 'how mental disorders affect criminal behaviour' which i got a C overall.

I then took a gap year, decided to retake psychology units which i am going to do in the upcoming months. I also did Level 3 Criminology and Level 3 Criminal Psychology- equivalent to an A-Level. I have nearly completed this mainly get Distinction/Merits in both courses, so overall i would have done 4 A Levels with a D and 3 unknown grades as of yet.

While, applying to universities such as Royal Holloway, Reading , Brunel, i only got an offer from Northampton which i just accepted despite it being over 2 hours away which means i will probably have to live away.

I am though unsure how and what is clearing, when to do and if i am eligible can i lose my offer that i accepted

Another thing i am confused if on the day of the results day, can i phone those universities that rejected me and if i get grades such as dsitinction, distinction, and a B combined with my D (from my Eng Lit) will i be eligible??

You only go into Clearing if you miss your Northampton offer and, as a result, they formally reject you (they might still accept you if you don't miss by too much).

If a university has already rejected you then there's no point re-contacting them.

But if you exceed your Northampton offer you can use Adjustment to apply to "better" courses. This *might* include some of the universities you already applied to.
