I've found out recently that all my close friends are going to be away for leaver's dinner. We all planned it before Christmas but obviously **** happens.

So I don't really have anyone close I can go with to the leaver's dinner. I have lots of acquaintances but they'l be with their group of close mates and I don't want to intrude on that so I've decided that I won't go.

Honestly, I wasn't really looking forward to going but I just wanted to spend a night with my mates (and a few favorite teachers) and have a good laugh but that can't really happen anymore and I'll just feel awkward. Am I missing out on much or will I regret not going?

I think you should go I feel like you might regret it if you don't. I'm sure they'll all talk to you too it won't be awkward unless you make it just get involved in conversations they're having and have a great night you'll feel much better going than not Good Luck xx
